Motherhood: The Ultimate Learning Curve

My newborn had just arrived into the world, and the weight of his future and my responsibilities toward him has threatened to overwhelm time and time again.

With so many polarized opinions surrounding motherhood, it definitely is a lot to handle. Everything from natural birth to c-sections, sleep training, breastfeeding to formula, and so much more, it can feel as though everyone is at odds. Sometimes it feels like, "if you're not getting this thousand-dollar baby carrier, you're doing it all wrong".

Through everyday experience, however, I have definitely learned to pick and choose what works best for me and my baby. No, I'm not saying I've got it all wrapped up in a bow - I'm still very much trying to Google myself into a sense of control. For many weeks I thought I have chosen a thing that works, then it stopped working for us, and we were made to readjust.

Always readjusting and adapting is what helps iron out all our stresses at the end of the day. Motherhood is very personal and we are all different. The one thing we should all remember is that "it is OK to be different" and that different things work for different people. Ultimately, as long as we are not neglecting our baby and our baby is happy, that is all that matters.

All I can say is that you will never stop learning, your baby grows every day and his needs will keep changing. Learn what works best for you and your family, work as a team and it will all be OK. P.S. I’m Going To Mom My Own Way
