The other day I was talking to a friend of mine who had just given birth. I asked her how she was doing and she said that the whole transition into motherhood feels lonely. It’s truly a difficult time to be in right now, it's hard that relatives can’t come over to visit and share the joy, and it's also hard that the caretaker isn’t able to come and help out due to travel restrictions. This means, many new parents would be entirely on their own.
New parenting is not easy in normal times, and I just can’t imagine how much harder it is now having to go through it alone. I had help during my thirty day confinement and it still feels like it wasn’t enough, motherhood is just mentally, and physically challenging.
So here, I wanted to make space for new moms and dads who are navigating this global pandemic with a newborn baby.
How are you doing, new parents? How is the sweet little angel? Are they sleeping well, are they feeding well? Please share, I would love to hear from you.
