Giving Back

As a mom, I am constantly trying to be better and do better for my family. Some days I managed with no surprises, but other days would seem like I'm starting all over again. The learning curve in being a new mom is so steep, but it is a hat that I wear with pride everyday.

With everything going on this year, I was given the chance to spend a lot of time with my family, to practice gratitude, reflection and patience. To get to see my baby grow everyday, and celebrate his every milestone has been such an honour to witness. It has been a huge blessing and privilege to have the opportunity to contribute to our baby’s development and growth by providing him with the best that we can.

That said, I am aware that there are many moms out there who don’t get to spend as much time with their babies as they would like. Some struggle with postpartum challenges. Some are forced to work multiple jobs to put food on the table. Some lost their jobs due to the current Covid-19 situation. I have also met single moms who have no choice but to work long hours on a low paying job to make ends meet.

In an effort to support these amazing, loving, and hardworking moms, Tim and I have decided to share some of the joy we have in our home with them. We have identified a number of (underprivileged) new moms that can really use a little bit of tender loving care in their day-to-day lives.

Tim and I have been distributing care packages (in Malaysia only) with some of the things that we personally love and have been using with our baby. Some of the products in the care package will include:

Organic soap bars

Baby soap & shampoo

Nappy cream

Baby safe nail clippers

Offspring/ Snapkis/ Gaia wet wipes

Comotomo/ Nuby silicone feeding bottle

a few other items donated by families and friends, such as diapers, rompers, bibs, towels, soft toys, and first aid kits.

If you are interested in contributing, feel free to contact me and I’ll provide you with more details on how you can do so. You can give in the form of mom & baby items (new/preloved), or in the form of money to help us purchase the baby items (no amount is too small).

If you are offering baby items, please only give ones that you love and have enjoyed using. Products must be safe, chemical & toxic-free, organic where possible, cruelty-free where possible, and gentle for the baby.

If you are a new mom or if you know of new moms who could really use a care package, please reach out to us and we'll have it delivered as soon as we can.

Every new mom & baby deserves some TLC. #momssupportingmoms
